Grazing management plans for Saudi Conservation Reserves

The National Pasture Strategy for Saudi Arabia includes the development and implementation of a program for sustainable management of pasture areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. One key aim is to determine the pastoral load in 10 pastoral areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to meet the objectives of the national strategy. 

The aim of the study is to develop and implement a sustainable grazing plan using a combination of field survey and vegetation inventory, to estimate plant productivity and pastoral loads for ten pastoral sites in the Kingdom.

Client: International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in collaboration with the TILAD Consulting Company Location: Ten reserves in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
