Australia's Plan for Nature is committed to strengthening environmental protection and to reduce ecological risks associated with clearing woody vegetation (INS). This means examining how fire, grazing, management and climate change might alter the effects of removal of woody plants and identifying research gaps and knowledge needs in order to balance community expectations in relation to woody plants and the needs of the farming community.
